I really like the small compact size making it very convenient to throw in your bag for reapplication, and the packaging is made from 100% recycled paper. On to the product review...
When I first started using the sun stick, I really really disliked the shape. It was concave (the product dipped inwards- I tried to capture it in the 2nd & 3rd shot, but hard to see) making it really difficult to apply the sun stick evenly on my face, and I felt like the stick was dragging & scratching my skin. It ended up wiping off the rest of my skincare underneath, which I could clearly see on the stick (I waited 15 min before applying the sun stick). I figured once I evened out the stick, I shouldn't have this problem anymore, but that's not exactly what happened.
I still had the same issue of feeling like the sun stick was dragging/ tugging on my face, rather than gliding over it, which resulted in pilling. Also, for some reason the product would not distribute evenly and I could see white splotches on my face. I had to use my fingers to spread the product out and pat into my skin, which kind of defeats the purpose of a sun stick. Finally, I felt like there was a pretty significant white cast on me, and throughout the day the sun stick felt really heavy and thick on my face.
I put this product to the test: I switched out the products underneath, even used half on one side of my face and a different sun stick on the other side of my face, and still came to the conclusion that this sun stick formula may not work for my skin type (dry). I will continue trying this sun stick since I really love sun sticks, but I'm not really sure why its not working with my skin :'(
