This
peeling was given to me by Benton cosmetics to test it and to review. I tried
it out for 4 weeks (twice a week for 4 Weeks).
About me:
Age 30+, Combination skin (dry cheeks, oily T-zone), acne prone.
Highlights
of the product: contains natural cellulose derived from cotton plants and
third-generation PHA (Lactobionic acid). Two-step exfoliation: chemical (PHA
melts dead skin and white heads) and physical (cellulose absorbs dead skin
cells and impurities).
Claims: Clearing
the skin of dead cells and impurities in a non-irritating way, leaving the skin
bright, smoothed and smooth.
We saw a large
offer of chemical exfoliators containing AHA and BHA. What we have to accept,
is that AHA is quite strong acid and can cause photosensitivity and
irritations. Instead of that, PHA has none of these disadvantages, actually it
forms a moisture barrier on the skin thanks to Hyaluronic Acid and
Chrysanthemum Morifolium Flower Extract.
How to use: After
cleansing, apply to dry face and spread avoiding contact with eyes and mouth.
Gently massage with fingertips and scrub off cellulose and dead skin cells.
Wash off with lukewarm water. You
can use it on other areas of the body, elbows, heels, ankle bones etc. Moisturize
your skin after using the peeling gel. Do
not rub with too much force (avoid irritation of the skin)
Packaging:
It comes it a plastic tube (sealed)
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Cellulose, Pentylene Glycol, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Glycerin,
Chrysanthemum Morifolium Flower Extract, Ceramide NP, Sodium Hyaluronate,
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Lactobionic
Acid, Allantoin, Propanediol, Caprylic/-Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated
Lecithin, Phytosteryl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate, Sodium Gluconate.
As you see,
ingredients list is safe and “pure”. In fact, I didn’t have any issues with
redness or other signs of irritations caused by reaction of a cosmetic product.
My thoughts:
What I realised is that this peeling gel has something in common with well
known gommages, I mean the way of applying. But there is a big different: it is
really a way more gentle. You should not rub your skin, pulling and tearing it
here and there, there is no feeling of dryness on the face. And after peeling I
did not have that feeling of tighteness on the skin because it leaves a moisturising
film on the skin. Actually at the end of peeling the skin feels as if you applied
a viscosy toner with hyaluronic acid.
Since it is very gentle way of peeling, I used it also for my neck and
decolleté zone – it also feels very softy and not stressed these delicate
areas.
The PHA Peeling gel did not cause any breakout, though I used it together
with Benton Aloe BHA Toner. I didn’t have feeling of overexfoliation and I
suppose that those two products can be applied together.
It did not have any impact on the size of my pores but I don’t really care
about it since my skin looks healthier.
Benton PHA Peeling Gel contains 3rd generation PHA and naturally derived cellulose which helps clear dead skin cells and impurities with minimum irritation. Improve your skin tone with this moist peeling gel! We will keep striving to make the best products with the healthiest ingredients.
