Snail Bee Ultimate Hydrogel Eye Patch is the second product from the Ultimate Series, next to Snail Bee Ultimate Serum. It is suitable for sensitive and blemished skin with the main goal of soothing and vitalization. Naturally derived and water-soluble hydrogel patch, this product does not contain PEGs, silicon or other harmful ingredients unlike other brands. Aside from that, it is said to be a “multitasking product” meaning the patch can only be applied not only on the eye area but also on other parts of the face like cheekbones, forehead, around the mouth, nasolabial fold and neck.

Small dark brown tub with gold colored label; cover indicates basic info about the product, while the tub itself is printed with the directions of use and other info in different languages. Has an inner white cover and a free spatula w/c is used to pick up patch and help in the application.
Has a peculiar scent which I think caused by the Saccharomyces or the Snail Secretion Filtrate Ferment Filtrate. Quite similar to the smell of Cosrx Snail 92 All in One Cream. The hydrogel itself is soft, thin and sprinkled with gold dust (which I find cute btw) and bathed with thick and slight tacky essence.
Suggested time is 10-20 mins. I normally used it on the maximum time required, then I gently pat excess essence in a circular motion upon patch removal.
It’s the first time for Benton launching an eye patch and I’m so glad and honored to be given the opportunity to try and review it.
I’ve tried the product for about 4 times already, since I am a bit busy with work and go home a late almost daily, I lack the time to include on my routine every night. So far, it only gave out promising results. I always wake up the next morning (when used at night) with a bright and less tired looking eyes. I also once used it during daytime, (last Saturday) because I attended a reunion and I expected that I won’t be sleeping for that day. I was amazed with the outcome ‘coz it totally helped my eyes look more awake esp. on photos. ☺️
My only concern is there seems to be so much essence in the tub, I cannot control how drenched the patch is prior using---so it ends up sliding from my eyelid time to time. But it’s a minor issue that can be manually fixed.
For the Pros & Cons
Naturally derived and eco friendly ingredient
Water soluble (I heard it can be recycled. Put it in a spray bottle with lukewarm water and use as a mist)
Impressive list of powerful ingredients
Suits even for blemished and sensitive skin
Too much essence
Smell can be an issue for people that are “scent-sitive”
Again, I wanna send my congratulations to team for making such an astonishing product. 💚
Eye patch is one of the trending products in the skincare community nowadays. For some reasons, people are into it, and I understand why 💛 It is quite similar to sheet mask, and it gives out immediate results. Easy to use, application is hassle-free, plus it’s cute. With Benton, they think beyond their limits. A water soluble, multitasking eye patch? Why?? Why not! With global warming and excessive waste products being littered worldwide, creating recyclable skincare product is a very smart move not only for the company but also for the benefits of the user.
All in all, I liked it, but I would love it more if my minimal concerns can be addressed. With regards to long term effect, I cannot say much yet but hopefully it can bring out great results too. I recommend this to those people who prefer immediate action to their eye probs, and is not that scent-sitive.
P.S. I’m excited to try it as a mist :D
