I received this product complementary for review purposes from @bentoncosmetics. I am a huge fan of Benton's Tea Tree line ~ their Cleansing Water & Facial Mist are such lovely cooling & refreshing products ~ that when I saw the serum, I was like YES!! This is made with 80% tea tree extracts, sourced from Korea. Tea tree has healing, disinfectant properties & can help speed up wound healing and reduce scarring. It helps with preventing dry, flaky skin & because of its antibacterial properties, can help heal current blemishes while reducing future blemishes & controlling excess oil.
This has hydrating humancants glycerin, betaine, sodium hyaluronate & panthenol, while amino acid arginine is an antioxidant, promoting collagen production to combat aging. Two types of willow bark extracts are in here, which has natural BHA salicylic acid to help exfoliate dead skin cells, unclog pores & reduce redness & swelling. Benton's formulas use naturally derived ingredients with ECOcert preservatives.
The packaging is keeping with Benton's eco-friendly mission ~ the pump is made of a flexible synthetic resin PP material without springs, so it doesn't need to be separated from the bottle for recycling purposes. The box is made from biodegradable 100% sugar cane with soy ink printing. The bottle has an airless pump, so that it ensures that the product won't get contaminated. Benton Tea Tree Serum is a clear, watery gel that smells like tea tree, which I actually like
This is very moisturizing for a product designed for oily skin ~ I found that this didn't dry down that well during the hot humid summer I have been experiencing & left my skin feeling a little tacky. However, once I applied other skincare products over it, that tacky feeling was gone. I did like how this product helped with pore care ~ my pores looked a lot more cleaner while using this & my skin felt soft & smooth.
It didn't help with reducing blemish breakouts (ahhh #maskne) but it did soothe and calm my skin. I also felt it did absolutely nothing for making my oil production less ~ It could have been a combination of the really hot, humid weather & my oily skin, but it didn't make my skin less oily or more oily ~ it was like Switzerland .. neutral. I think I would like this product a lot more during the cooler months, as it is hydrating while providing pore care. Based on my own testing, I do feel that all skin types can use this product as it is non irritating & provides moisture & anti-inflammatory benefits.
Benton Tea Tree Serum is a slightly acidic soothing intensive serum that contains tea tree leaf water to help soothe skin, control sebum, and supply moisture.
In addition, it keeps your skin clean and healthy that is irritated by external harmful environment.
Hope it helps your skin to be better, and have a nice day^^
Thank you
