Getting sent products and reviewing them is fun (obviously) but getting sent products by brands you already love & use? AMAZING. SHOW STOPPING. Benton provided me with this product for review, but all opinions expressed in this post are my own.

My history with using Benton products is this: I’ve been using Benton’s Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream in my routine for two, maybe two and a half years? It got me through a whole year of accutane (i.e. the driest my skin has ever been) and gifted me with plump, mochi soft skin. I cannot sing its praises enough, everyone should try it.

BUT. This review is not about that. This is about Benton’s latest release – the Aloe Hyaluron Cream. Obviously as an avid fan of the steam cream, I was wildly excited to try this release! I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks, so I’m definitely ready to share my thoughts.

The cream retails for about $22. It has the same gliding feeling that the steam cream has – you seriously only need a little bit to cover your whole face, which is amazing. It sinks into the skin really fast, and doesn’t have any distinctive smell. The packaging is very travel friendly, although I do wish their creams came in a tub so I could scrape every last dollop out!

Benton does warn that this may leave a temporary white cast on those with darker skin tones, however as someone with skin as pale as the moon I unfortunately can’t test this! The cream does absorb exceedingly well though, so I wouldn’t consider this a deal breaker for those with tanned or dark skin tones.

Benton says:

Benton Aloe Hyaluron Cream contains 40% of Aloe Vera Leaf Water which is rich in polysaccharides, and 7-Hyaluronic Acid Complex, hydrating and nourishing your stressed skin step by step.

[…] The 7-Hyaluronic Acid Complex vitalizes all skin types such as dry skin, oily skin, sensitive skin and skin with a lot of heat, without the burden of harmful ingredients and without oiliness.

It is a white cream with a light and moist texture which can be used at the last step of skincare without stickiness. The cream smoothly forms a moisture barrier which allows a smooth finish, leaving your skin soft and supple.

Benton’s Aloe Hyaluron Cream is free of artificial fragrance, coloring, volatile alcohol, PEGs and other controversial ingredients. It is a dermatologically tested, mildly acidic product which helps fully hydrate and reduce burden for sensitive skin. It is a product which is suitable for skip-care, which utilizes simple skincare steps.

Provided by Benton

As a very lightweight moisturiser, I think this is a great addition to a routine for someone looking to minimise their skincare routine! It goes on easily with a smooth finish (rather than greasy).

How to use the Benton Aloe Hyaluron Cream

Use at the last step of skincare (but before sleeping masks) by applying a suitable amount and spread evenly to absorb. Benton recommends pairing this with other products from their Aloe Line if your skin needs to be soothed & hydrated.

  • The cream is: Mildly acidic, and free of controversial ingredients such as artificial fragrance, colouring, volatile alcohol, and PEGs.
  • 7-Hyaluronic Acid Complex: different types and volumes of hyaluronic acid permeate and affect the skin differently. Benton have provided a short description of each of the types of hyaluronic acid present in the Benton Aloe Hyaluron Cream
    • Sodium Hyaluronate(High Molecule) – Maintains an outer moisture layer on the skin helps moisturize.
    • Sodium Hyaluronate(Middle Molecule) – Helps maintain skin’s elasticity and suppleness in the dermis (inner skin).
    • Sodium Hyaluronate (Low Molecule) – Hydrates fibers in the skin.
    • Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate – Helps moisture infiltrate into damaged skin quickly.
    • Hyaluronic Acid – Polysaccharides protect skin from the infiltration of harmful external stressors.
    • Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer – Helps maintain moisture in the outer layer of the skin.
    • Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid – Moisturizing factor helps moisturize skin from the dermis and vitalizes.

Benton Aloe Hyaluron Cream suits skin types…

Benton recommends this product to those who have:

  • Dry but oily, unbalanced skin
  • Rough and dull skin lacking nourishment
  • Delicate skin that needs a skincare diet
  • Dry and sensitive skin due to external stressors
  • Skin that needs protection
  • Skin that needs moisturization and suppleness care

Personally, I think this moisturiser is great for those who live in humid climates, or are currently in summer, and have sensitive or easily irritated skin. If you want to strip down your skincare routine to a few effective products, this would be a great product! I would also recommend this to those who tried the High Content Steam Cream but found it too thick or rich.

Avoid the Benton Aloe Hyaluron Cream if…

The ingredients list is pretty tame, however there are a few ingredients (Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate) which SkinCarisma lists as fungal acne triggers. If you have had trouble with fungal acne in the past, I would be cautious when trying this product!

Should you buy the Benton Aloe Hyaluron Cream?

After 3 weeks of using this product, I can definitely say that I would repurchase this! It works great under my makeup, it’s light enough that my face doesn’t sweat under it in the Australian summer. After a day at work in an office building with dry air my skin still feels bouncy soft and not tight at all – so I’m calling this a win! If you’re interested in trying a Benton product and it sounds like a good fit, I would definitely suggest you should try this product!
